funny videos
Posted by Victor Camacho guerrero on August 3, 2011 at 9:30 amHi I am doing a promo in AE, and I am searching stuff for funny videos, however on the web there is nothing good on places as revostock or artbeats. I am sure, this is maybe not the best place to look for this answer, but I had no idea where to place this question in creative cow.
If someone could help i would really appreciate it.
Thanks!!!

August 3, 2011 at 11:32 amI would say youtube or any other social video site would be the place for funny videos. But you may not be able to use that in your project.
Have you looked at pond5? https://www.pond5.com/stock-video-footage/1/funny.html

August 3, 2011 at 11:44 amThanks a lot Greg,
my idea is more similar to this…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkHzvhsMGhI&feature=player_embedded
However most of the suff like this on the web, has really poor quality. the site you gave me has good quality , however it is hard to find something which makes you laugh.
any another idea??
Thanks man.

August 3, 2011 at 3:16 pmTrouble is, the clips you find on repositories like Pond5 and Revostock are staged, and no one seems to think like you do.
Consider this…there are quite a few people on those site making quite a bit of money selling shots. I got a few ‘himmingbirds shots that were really, really nice, thinking I was going to sell a load of them. Turned out that there were hundreds of ‘hummingbird shots’, so I haven’t sold a single clip!
You may have stumbled onto a niche. Might not help you with your current project, but you might have opened a whole new genre of staged stock video.
Now, how to stage a kangaroo kicking a guy into a pond….

August 4, 2011 at 8:41 pmI’m guessing you are looking for something candid, short, and funny. That’s tough. Best bet is to grab a camera, get some friends together, have some beer, and go to a park, waterpark, Nascar event, other sporting event, and play with fire, water, or dangerous animals. Maybe get some cute kitty footage? This all sounds so generic, I know, but its consistently what people seem to like on YouTube, internet and TV. Look at jackass – they’ve created an entire legion of fans just from short, quick, dangerous stunts – think what you want, but they make money. Oh, also, guys getting it in the nuts seems entertaining (please wear a cup…).
Please, please, please remember to be careful and understand that you can get really, really hurt with some of this stuff. I’m not recommending you do any of it. In fact, I’m vehemently opposed to all of it. Enjoy.
