I went back to my “walls” precomp (which is obviously all my wall layers that make up the room) to adjust a few layers.

When I came back, all the layers were acting wonky.

That door and all those pictures you see in the left corner are supposed to be on the other side of the wall.

The 3D layer switch is still on. I don’t know what the deal is.

    Any ideas what happened?

I assume your pre-comp is a 3D layer with collapse transformations enabled, if so did you insert any 2D layers into the pre-comp? This would break the 3D-ness of the pre-comp in the main composition, you basically have to imagine (when using collapse transformations) that every layer is being imported into the main comp exactly as it exists in the pre-comp, all blending modes and layer swatches will behave accordingly.

If you added any 2D adjustment layers or 2D Null objects, these could break the 3D effect.

Yeah, I have no idea what I did. I just deleted the pre-comp from the timeline and then dropped it in again from the project window. Everything’s cool now.
