I’ve used a motion element from a DJ library that’s kind of like a targeting scope — a round circle with small lines pointing towards the center. I animated a lot of motion onto it in FCP with rotation, scale, center, and motion blur. When I exported using H.264, the perfectly round animated scope stretched out to an egg shape at times throughout the edit. Most of the time it stayed round, but sometimes it went egg. Everything looks good in the viewer before compression … the scaling is symmetrical throughout.

I tried exporting out for .m2v to play it in DVDSP, and everything looks good there. No egg.

How can I get this video to export best so I can do the web compressions in Squeeze? I’ve always done H.264 out of FCP before Squeeze and been very happy, but…maybe I’m not using the best way???

    Thanks,
    Eric
