  Funky errors in 4.5, error 34, any suggestions?

  I’m not the guy with a problem this time, just a nearby spectator, so I’m light on facts and background, but it’s a project in FCPHD 4.5. An SD project, fed in DV25 from our IO. He was editing fine but suddenly started getting a lot of Error code 34 messages, and sections of his timeline have unexpected jumps of the image, like he made jump cuts but he didn’t.

  It’s not a very complex edit: some layering of graphics in motion, some imported AVI files from another computer.

  My guess is messed up scratch disk settings. He says he’s trashed prefs and rebooted.

  Any suggestions welcome, my buddy here is climbing the walls as he’s on deadline, and 95 percent done (typically when these things happen, right?)
