Function similar to clip enable
Is there a function in Media Composer similar to Final Cut Pros’ clip enable.

Nope. But you can monitor below layers…choose what layer to view. The option in on the timeline on the far left. Just to the right of the V1, V2. The cool thing is that you can choose to not monitor a layer, and it DOESN’T undo your renders, like FCP does.

You could create an effect template that has 0 opacity and just apply that to a clip to disable it. Any effect in the Blend catagory should work fine.
