Attempting to set up second computer monitor for full screen.
Opened window, set it up on correct monitor.But when I hit the key combination, nada.
Is there a step I am missing …?
Do you have any I/O hardware attached?
Not connected at the moment, no.
Even if your hardware is not connected but is still in your machine with the drivers installed full screen playback will not work.

I just have AJA TTap.
The issue was tactually he resolution of the two,
after doing a web search.
I had to set my iMac to match the rez of the second monitor and it worked.
But of course completely impractical, due to the rez of the 27″ iMac.
My desktop of course got HUGE…Thx for the replies!
