Full Screen Layers in AE when import scene from Adobe Illustrator?
Dear Sirs
Do you have any idea how to fix this:
When I create scene in Adobe Photoshop and import in AftereEffects (lets say, a cartoon character with separated head, legs, arms etc. in layers) – this scene shows correctly (all layers are the size of the drawn object).
But when create scene in Illustrator, separate in layers and import in AfterEffects – all layers are FULL SCREEN.
Are there any workarounds to make us animating easier?

Hm to be honest, I’ve realized that it works perfectly from time to time. I have no idea what causes layers with small graphics in 1920×1080 to be full screen that makes animating much harder (for selecting layers and finding layer you’d want to animate). So this “problem” is “solved” and I have no idea how… I suppose it is up to the way I am importing .ai file in AfterEffects.

Select “Composition, retain layer sizes” when importing.

I’ve found what I did – I’ve accidentally (probably using mouse-wheel) added .AI scene into AE and, like you said, I’ve selected Scene only, not Scene with Retain Layer Sizes! It was my mistake. Thank you!
