Full Round Trip workflow with Final Cut
Has anyone figured out a complete clip based workflow from/to Final Cut?
(which involves NOT rendering in target mode in resolve but instead staying in source mode and swapping out the clips in FCP)
More specifically does anyone know how to preserve the Reel info in the rendered clips? If not, is there a workaround to that issue?I can get the whole thing to work except that the Reel name out of resolve becomes the clip name – and therefore Final Cut will not relink the clips automatically.

If you choose the option “Assist using reel numbers”, and choose “Embedding in source clip”, it should retain the reel number in the header of the Quicktime file.
