I have a show that I exported as full rez QT from FCP. It looked great on my G5 and my G4. I uploaded it to FTP, the client downloaded and it looked pixilated and out of focus! They were viewing it on a G5 mac. While troubleshooting, I played it on a PC in QT. It also looked bad! Then I tested a QT output I did a year ago on the PC, and it had the same flaws, although it is fine on the Mac. What gives? Thanks for the response.

Depends on your export settings? If you’re exporting as NTSC-DV, it’s made to be viewed on a video monitor…it’s that square pixel (computer) vs. rectangular pixel (video) issue. Try exporting a couple of different file types and see what looks best. Good luck!

Open the QT (in QT), hit Apple+J, go to Video Track “visual settings” and make sure “high quality” is checked. Then save.
