When I play video (any kind) with no effects ect.
FCPX plays it in half res.
when I pause I get a Clear crisp still.
where can I change the settings of the playback resolution?!

Go into your FCPX preferences. In the playback options, if you’re working with original or optimized media, you have the option for “Better Performance” or “High Quality”. You want the latter.

thanks I’m a bit embarrassed not noticing it myself.
Yet maybe it was because I didn’t work with optimized media
    thanks anyway.
