My company recently set up an FTP server for me to use to transfer videos to them. I have a mac 2×2.8 Ghz 14gb ram running 10.5.8

I use the classic uploader available on apples web page. (I also tried filezilla)

When i upload a sample of about 4mb there is no issues. When i try for a video of 200mb It will upload for about 1 second leaving 1-2 Mb on the FTP It then times out with a message saying

“Unable to change directory “/” please check if you have permission on the directory”

The IT people at my company refuse to offer any help due to the fact that I am ruinning a mac, and they state it is a problem with my computer, yet I have used this computer to upload to another web site before although not video.

Are there any settings that could be causing this problem.

    thanks for any advice.

    Anthony
