  FS700 and 4K Raw / 4K Compressed

  Had a few questions:

  4K Compressed for the FS700

  and

  4K Raw

  1) I don’t do much color grading but curious as to the difference in quality as far as sharpness with these two settings for the Odyssey external recorder/monitor.

  I am doing a documentary next year and of course will save up and make a decision on which camera to get as the options, in order of preference, are:

  FS700 (upside is I’ve been shooting on this camera and know it very well)
  Black Magic URSA (downside to this is the size, and no ND filters)
  F7 (was not impressed with it at all)
  Other camera’s under 6k (not impressed with these as far as visuals – RE: DSLR’s, 4K camcorders, etc)

  2) Does my iMac 21.5 inch 2012 display not show how sharp the 4K videos are? Do we truly need a 4K system to see? I notice on videos for YouTube with test shoots that there is fuzz in the blue skies for shots in 4K and banding with fades, etc.
