Nice blog Gabe. Glad to see you’re enjoying the FS100, we’ve had 2 for a couple of years now and we’re constantly amazed at images we get from them. Try getting your hands on some older M42 lenses (Jupiter 9, Carl Zeiss Jena), some are real corkers, dirt cheap and beautiful images.

Is there a way to load and edit FS100 footage on Final Cut?

Yes. FCP X works with FS100 footage as is. No transcoding needed. FCP 7 will need to transcode to ProRes using ‘Log and Transfer’.

Gabe, We have a suite with OS 10.6.3 with FCP7 on it and when we plug in a memory card with footage from an FS100 using a memory card reader, it doesn’t show up. We have a newer MAC using FCP7 and it shows up and loads just fine, but not with this older OS. Any ideas? tx
