I looked all over for this but could not find an entry…
I just moved up to the HPX300 from the HVX200. One of the reasons I did this is so I could continue to use my FS-100. (Yes, I know it only works for DVCProHD…) They seem to work fine together but I cannot figure how to play the FS-100 back through the camera LCD like I could on the HVX200. There is no button that pops it into the “receive” mode.
    What is the procedure, please?

(By the way, my neighbor has a business that sells PERFECT firewire cables with “L” plugs that fit perfectly between my FS-100 mounted behind the 300’s handle down to the 1394 port on the back of the camera – usbfirewire.com – they took a picture of my setup for their website if you want to see how I did it. It is very clean.)

Put your camera in MCR mode and press the Thumbnail button.
Check your 1394 settings on the camera.
