Frustrating Help. Digitizing DAT tape
Hello,
I’m trying to help a friend digitize DAT tape into his FCP system. The dat unit audio is coming out via stereo plug
into his canupus audio rca audio inputs. The audio out is
going to the speakers so we know that the canupus device is getting the audio. We have firewire out into the G5. When we try to capture theres no audio signals at all. We’ve tried several options such as dv capture and each one doesn’t give us any audio signals. All we want is to capture audio/ NO video.
Even VO capture doesn’t work. Any suggestions?thanks

You’ve set the capture preset to “non controllable device” and still can’t get the audio to go into the computer? Might try a dub to a DV tape thru a camera… you’ll get TC that way that means something.
