  Frustrating audio/video issue

  Could someone please tell me if there is a way to link the audio and video of one clip so that the audio slows down at exactly the same rate as does the video?

  IE: I have a clip that I wish to begin at normal speed. At some point I wish to slow the speed of the motion down to nil (a static shot if you will). But this slow-down is gradual. During this slow-down I want the audio to slow at the same rate…eventually getting the effect of a record slowing down with the pitch getting lower all the time along with the speed. At all times the video and audio need to be in sync.

  I know how to slow the whole clip (video and audio) together by using the Ctrl/Drag method, but this can’t give me the slow-down effect. I have tried using the envelope method, but although this allows me to slow down the video in the way I want, the audio remains unaffected.

  Any ideas please would be greatly appreciated.
