    Today on Creative Cow –

Facing the Giants, an action-packed drama about a high-school football coach who uses his undying faith to battle the “giants” of fear and failure off and on the field, will premiere in theaters on September 29th. Given the project’s many key football sequences, writer/director Alex Kendrick enlisted veteran sports cinematographer Bob Scott to shoot the film with Panasonic’s AJ-HDC27 VariCam

I am much more interested in reading about the creative input the principals player and individuals gave to the project than reading about how some super wonderful digital thingamijiggee camera was the most important element of the entire project.

For all I care if it had been shot on digital toliet paper but the storyline was so powerful it would still be a great movie in my opinion.

    Content still rules over technology.

    Sorry Bob,

You missed my point it had nothing to do with writing or acting.

Those crewmembers on the “front lines” of the field production process might better relate to what I was referring to.

Just don’t forget “Technology does not create talent in itself, instead talented individuals use technology for their benefit.

Some press releases I find are filled with misleading and incorrect statements written centered on hype instead of reality which is my main gripe with such PR information.

I’ll stop here as none of what I mentioned refers to AJA in anyway.
