From text tool to selection tool, hotkey?

Hit ENTER on Num Pad. This closes editing of the text. Then hit V.

Hey, thanks for answering, I’m on a Macbook Pro and as far as I know, I don’t have the numb pad on my mac;(

“To end text-editing mode, press Enter on the numeric keypad, select another tool, or press Ctrl+Enter (Windows) or Command+Return (Mac OS).”

Thanks! But I don’t have the Numeric Keypad because I’m not mackbook pro, so I cant use the num pad enter

My answer gave three options, only one of which requires the numeric keypad.

And they didn’t work. I wont to go from text tool to selection tool by just using hotkeys;) I’ve seen people doing it, but not on mac

Maybe you have some different kind of Mac. On my Mac everything works.
Dave’s solution takes half a second.
If you want to use keyboard shortcuts:
Cmd-Enter, V
0.75 sec.
Writing this post – 12 seconds.
