I need to format a movie from premiere to be able to give to people to run on television- from your experience- is that as simple as putting it to beta?

Is there any advice for this process (new to media placement, broadcast video).

I am used to putting it to dvd- but what to advertising places want to run the ad? (beta…dvd…etc…)

Are there any things I should pay close attention to when exporting the video for broadcast?

    Thanks for any help.

lay it off to beta sp with one minute of bars and tone, eight seconds of slate, 2 seconds of black and the show starting at one hour even.

Pay attention to your video scopes. If your whites are too hot it will start to mess with your audio and the station will compress the crap out of your stuff. Just another addition.

You need to speak with whomever is receiving the show for distribution. They will let you know what format they need it in, what the timecode format will be, and what needs to be at the front, such as bars/tone, etc. They will also let you know where breaks must be placed, and how long.
