    Hi All:

I was searching the forums looking for an answer but couldn’t find one. my question is, how do I go from a flat image into a sphere? So that I see it turning into a sphere?

Is there any way to do this with cc sphere or do i need a stronger effect?

There’s no way to do it with AE alone – although with a little trickery you might be able to pull it off with CC sphere and some flashes of light of motion to obscure the swap.

If you really want to be able to see it from start to end, I think Zaxwerks 3D Warps can do it:

The CC plug-in doesn’t seem to let you animate into the spherical shape from a flat shape.

The only suggestion I have is third party:

That is correct. CC sphere doesn’t allow the transition.

Has Boris disappeared so completely from our collective group-think?

The Boris 3d filter packages include Sphere and Cylinder that have keyframable WRAP parameters. Very cool and fun to sue. Takes a bit of practice.

You might check the Boris forum here on the cow to see what they’re selling these days.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
