    Hi, Premiere guys,

I am a FCP user. A customer wants to use my video on his Windows-Premier system.

Exported to QuickTime files with original codecs HDV and XDCAM EX.

However, Premiere could not import the files – “QuickTime lacks something .. ”

Maybe I should export to a format and a codec that Premiere will take without any problem.

The customer did not know what I should export to.

    Do you have suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

I think it has to do with something in how FCP captures HDV. The one thing you could try is to render out your clips in Pro-Res and then have your Premiere Pro customer download the Apple Pro-Res decoders onto his Windows platform and give it a go.

With XDCAMEX, Premiere reads the native files so you could potentially export an EDL, and let Premiere relink to the original media.

    Just a couple of thoughts…
