  • From FCP to AE for Web, best settings?

I need to bring footage from FCP to AE to do some compositing, but I don’t seem to be able to get it right. This is what I have:

16:9 anamorphic footage in FCP in 16:9 timeline imported from mini DV.

I don’t need to bring it back to FCP because after I’m done in AE I would just like to optimize the movie for the web.

I know there are many scripting ways to do this. My problem is that I have AE in a different computer so I need to make the movie self-contained, any suggestions as to whether exporting with quicktime or quicktime conversion? And if so what would be ideal settings for my objective?

I’m becoming quite frustrated with this, any help will be appreciated!

    And what is the problem?
Export your DV Anamorphic movie and import to AE.
Then if I go to the web, I would work in a composition with the setting for the web: size, pixels, field order (progressive),..
