    hi, i have an edit wich is normal dv video (interlaced) but i want to export it as progressive from premiere cs4, i see an option in the media encoder that tells premiere to export as progressive… Wil it get really converted to progressive? thanks..

    Yes, but you will lose about half the resolution.

    so how do i create full progressive frames from premiere?

    You would have to shoot progressive.

    There are other solutions such as plugins or hardware processors to handle the process (expensive) but none will really give you the same resolution as your original footage.

    Exporting for the web is really the only reason you would want to de-interlace at this point, and your loss of resolution matters less.

    Both TV and projectors will display your footage correctly.
