I was wondering what everyones thoughts were when upgrading to leopard and any issues that may arise.

I had the thought of buying a new 10,000 rpm raptor drive to use as a fresh drive to install Leopard in place of my current boot drive.

My issue is with FC Studio 2, it is installed on my current boot drive, but if I were to replace the boot drive with the raptor drive I assume I would not be able to get a new install of FC Studio 2 as I only own the upgrade discs.

Should I clone my current boot drive before replacing it, in order to maintain the status of FCP? Or, simply backup all related FC studio program files and simply copy them back onto the new boot drive once Leopard is installed.

Any thoughts/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

You can do a full install from the upgrade discs. You’ll need to have the seriel number for the upgrade and the number for the pervious studio package that you upgraded from. It will ask for both numbers.
