  Freeze on Import/AE file dissolve

  When I select “import” from the file menu, the entire menu bar greys out and the app freezes. Import works fine with drag and drop however. Also, app freezes when working with files exported from AE (m100 codec,in particular when adding a dissolve. Thought it might be a Quicktime issue, reverted to 6.5.2, but no luck. Any ideas?
