    Hi Folks,

OK, my brain is fried at the moment, so it might be me, but is there something up with freeze frames in V12?

Normally if I wanted to make a freeze frame of the end of piece of video I’d double click the video, jump the CTI to the end, hit freeze frame and render, and away we go.

Now though when you hit freeze the CTI jumps back into the clip, forcing you to move it again. Also the duration, regardless of what it is set to, assumes the length of the original clip no matter how short.

Now is this a bug, or am I missing something really simple!

We use it a little bit differently, and this still seems to work:

Double-click your clip on the timeline, move the CTI to the end.
Expand Edit suite, Click on “freeze” and the field you want to use.
Collapse the Edit suite again, and drag the clip from the Edit suite clip window to your timeline.

Not really sure if there have been changes lately to the freeze frame action, but the way we do it all the time still works.

    Hi Floh,

The CTI still jumps back on my system with that method, though that’s no biggie. Your way cures the duration issue, so for that I’m greatful.

    Thanks again

Am still on 7.5 in OS9, but I never usually bother with moving a CTI. I just cut a clip where I want a still, double click on it, click “Freeze” in the edit suite window, entering a desired clip length if I don’t like the default 10seconds, and apply, and then it sits in my bin ready to use.

    Isn’t version 7.5 lovey?

It definitely is, but seriously, I would not want to change with you 🙂
