    Hi Everyone,

I am sure this question is easily answered but it has been vexing me for over a week. In the credits for my movie I used cameos of the “stars” in action and then froze them into a still. The problem is that the still flutters when shown on television (from a DVD) but not on a computer. Does this have something to do with de-lacing?

    I really appreciate this site.

    Thanks,

    Bill

Yes, it does. If you add a deinterlace filter, you’ll not see the jitter.. or look at the still externally and pick one that doesn’t jitter. It’s caused by movement between the time the first and second field were recorded.
