Hello everyone, i hope you survived Christmas well.

Is there any possibility to play a video/animation in an freezer comp?
I have a 3d Animation and need to stop it for some seconds to play a video on a solid with 3 informations.
How can i freeze the Animation and play the video inside?

    Hi Walter

    — if I understand correctly I think you can do this by duplicating the layer – freeze the bottom layer – then mask the top layer so that it shows desired area only

Hm no that won’t work in that case.
    I have a rendered 3D animation, 3D solids and a 3d Camera.
What i try to do now is, i still use time remapping on the main animation, duplicate the keyframes wit the 3D data onto an new comp and just move the keyframes and create that break that i need.
That seems to be the easiest way right now.

    ….. I see — theres also …..

    1 – duplicate comp
2 – hide ( or delete ) elements you want to keep moving in bottom comp and freeze bottom comp
3 – hide ( or delete ) elements you want to freeze in top layer

——————— think this should do it ( ? ) — but if not sounds like you have it covered anyway ?
