The resolution of neither of those cameras will come anywhere close to the actual resolution of a native frame of s16mm film… the film frame’s resolution will be much much greater.

However, if you are talking about the resolution of scanned or telecined film ready for editing, then that depends on how the film was telecined. If the film was scanned for HD, the resolution would be comparable (although the film would still have much more contrast lattitude).

If the film was scanned at a higher rate, say 2K or even 4K, then the s16mm film resolution would be far greater than the output of either of those cameras.
