I’ve just made available a free filter for FCP that works like the Shadow/Highlight function in Photoshop CS to lift detail out of shadow or highlight areas in a shot. It works on either high-contrast or under or over-exposed shots, and can bring out both shadow and highlight detail at the same time. It’s also good for correcting the cinema gammas in the newer camcorders.

You can see how it works and download it here: https://www.lyric.com/fcp-plugins/index.htm#shadow .

    Enjoy!

    John,

Thanks for making your time and effort freely available to all of us 🙂

I downloaded the filter and look forward to using it — just a little note to let you know that it wasn’t that easy find on your site.

You may want to add a link to it on your products page.

    Thanks again,

    Wayne
