Free FCPX Title Template – TKY Highlighter
A handy little effect for quickly creating an animated “hand-drawn” squiggle to highlight a piece of text or section of an image.
Onscreen controls allow you to position the drawn shape – there are four points that define the outline that can each be tweaked into place.
You can alter the draw-on duration for faster or slower results.
You can choose the colour, opacity and width of the line, as well as selecting airbrush mode for a softer look.
Please note this is a title effect (and should be installed in your Titles folder) and hence needs to be positioned above your source image – this way you can easily change the duration of the overlay separately from the shot it sits over.

A couple of extra tweaks to this effect:
You can now also choose Chalk mode (as well as solid and airbrush) for a more organic look. However, please note that while in chalk mode you cannot move the control points so select this only when you’re already happy with your shape.
Finally you can now also choose the shape of your end points (Square, Round, Bevel or Arrow) when not in Chalk mode.
