August 20, 2013 at 3:11 amSony should have an exchange site for uploading scripts. Adobe has had things like this for ages.
Free stuff is basically going to be automation functions via scripting, and some might be willing to share with the community.
There was a question about a swish pan transition on this forum. This is something you could do a script for in Vegas. A number of steps to do manually but can be automated and made easy and flexible via a script.

August 20, 2013 at 11:01 amGood points Norman.
I love the idea of a sharing area… like other software companies have. At times, it seems to me as if Sony Creative is a few-person operation, ie. skeleton crew 🙂

August 21, 2013 at 6:29 pmGood to hear Steve 🙂
Let’s hope the next release reflects this with a more stable Vegas out the gate, than recent version(s).Gilles

August 21, 2013 at 7:13 pmI think Vegas 12 was the great step out the gate already,
and if it follows along this line, it will only get better.Steve Rhoden

August 22, 2013 at 4:40 amCan’t forget about AAV Colorlab. Kinda old but it’s 64 bit and I use it frequently. I find that if I adjust the reds to about -9 it gives skin tones a very nice color.

August 22, 2013 at 12:23 pmThanks Ian,
I just looked at Color Lab. I’m not sure what this provides that isn’t already included in Vegas. Hmmmmm…Gilles

August 22, 2013 at 1:40 pmThe is some overlap with vegas functionality, but I really like the 6 vector color correcter and being able to adjust hsl for each of the six colors. Also under the blur options you can do a chroma blur of any size, while vegas only lets you do 4 pixels. This can help smooth out some chroma noise by bumping up a little higher. Also you can do some basic levels adjustment and white balance all from one filter.
