June 13, 2013 at 10:03 pmWhen I did an XML export, then imported the XML into a new project, the timeline that came up had all the clips offline. The original timeline is all connected fine.

June 13, 2013 at 10:17 pmBut at least the clip names are correct.
But then when I try to reconnect the media, I get wonky error messages, but I click “ok” anyhow.
Sometimes it reconnects properly, and other times it comes in out of sync.Should I just rebuild the @#$@ timeline to be safe?
Proabably 2 hours work. Deadline: Project due tomorrow morning.Yow!Dan S.

June 13, 2013 at 10:18 pmWhat aspects of this project are due? The final video? Or is an EDL or XML needed too?

June 13, 2013 at 10:30 pmExcept the old sequence (with the wrong names) was incorrect and wonky.
And the new XML export/import sequence has offline media, and doen’t seem to want to reconnect properly.
Make sense?

In what way?
[Daniel Schultz] ”

[Daniel Schultz] “Make sense?”
WHy it doesn’t work? yes. Why you are doing it…no.

June 13, 2013 at 10:36 pmI am 95% finished with this job that needs to be done tomorrow.
THat’s when the sequence naming bug happened.
So I just want to get back to where I was a few hours ago before this bug happened so I can finish the job and deliver it.The question is:
1. Do I try to make it work with the XML timeline that seems to be problematic?
2. Or just rebuild the timline to where I was earlier in the day, then finish off the job.Yes???

June 13, 2013 at 10:43 pmOkay…I might have solved it.
I went to the autosave vault and got a recent version, opened the timeline (that was named wrong, but the clips are named correctly), then copy and pasted clips into a new timeline with correct settings.
So far so good!!
Thanks for your patience, Shane!
