Help. I am now having problems with putting two clips together in a sequence. After puting them together, frames drop, once playback comes upon the second clip. An error message reads this about dropped frames: It claims to do one of the following:
    “Turning off “Unlimited RT”
    Lowering compression Data Rate
    Closing OPen Sequences
Lowering the preference for Real Time audio tracks
    Increasing speed of your system

Has anyone run into this problem. If so, which one of the above seems most likely to fix the problem?

    Thank you

I receive this warning every now and then, and have found that merely closing the project, closing FCE, and sometimes even restarting my computer, have been adequate in dealing with this occurrence without having to change any of my settings. I sometimes notice this occurrence when I am playing back video and after I hit the play/pause buttons too quickly.

    Good luck.

What type of drive are you working from.

LaCie external firewire drives – either the 250/500 d2 or the 250 Porsche.

Had problems for many months with freezing during every 30-40 seconds of capture from various tape decks with various drive and processor configurations. Upgrading to FCE HD 3.5.1 from 3.0 appears to have addressed those freezing problems, as I can now capture for at least 30 minutes without freezing.

Processors used are the PowerBook G4 and the PowerMac G5/dual Motorola.

Tape decks used are the Sony Betacam SP UVW-1400a/1800, Canon XL2 and Panasonic AG-DVC60.

Converter used is the DataVideo DAC-15.
