Framerate question (29.97 to 23.98)

So we’re saying definitely convert the 29.97 stuff to 23.98 then? What about for future uses of this stuff (say, heavens forbid, someone wants to put it onto a DVD or screen it somewhere outside of the client’s laptop)?

DVDs play 23.98. All those DVDs of movies you own? Those are shot 24fps…on DVDs at 24fps. And yes, playing on a laptop…same as the web. Progressive. Only TV sets do interlacing.
