    Hi all,
I’ve got an archived Premiere project from 2005. I’ve rebuilt the project in CS3 no problems, but I am having issues when trying to use some old exported footage- it was created before Premiere supported 24p timelines. Therefore I have an .avi clip at 29.97, even though the footage was shot at 24p.
When playing back this footage in the new 24p timeline, there are ghosting artifacts around the motion. When I turn “Frame Blending” off, I then see 3 progressive frames followed by 1 interlaced frame. Interestingly, when I scrub through it in a quicktime player it displays as 3 progressive frames followed by 2 interlaced frames- which means the 24 information is still there somewhere because Ppro & QT are interlacing different frames.
My question then is: how do I utilize this footage now? Is there a way to make Premiere read it as 24 frames, or is there a process I can go through to convert it to 24p without these interlacing problems?
    Thanks,
    Nick
