Framelink – how to make a QT movie from DPX files

i’ve tried this with only a few test dpx files. the file on your desktipp is what we used to have called “disk Images”. still in use today, but not with that particular icon.

When you set up you DPX Link Quicktime, where are you saving it to? after you drag your dpx files onto your disk image, open you quicktime that you just set up, and it should contain all the frames equal to what you dagged to the disk image.

Now, use FCP or AE, or Quicktime pro, load the quicktime movie, and do what you need to do.

it’s pretty nice.

Thanks for your reply.

Basically I want to make a Quicktime clip out of the DPX sequences via Framelink. I’ve created a DPX-Quicktime file from Framelink and what I get is an icon where I can drag all the DPX files in and that works fine. What I can’t figure out next is how to make Quicktime clip from there.

can you open the quicktime in Quicktime Player Pro. then there’s your quicktime. do a Save as, and make the movie self contained.
