I’m trying to find the best method to down convert Xdcam ex footage shot at 1080i. I captured it with my Kona LHe via SDi and down converted there. It looked great. I imported it from the SxS card into the SD project I created for the capture and when I drop it in the sequence it’s a bit squeezed looking. I’ve tried a million little things and fear I’m missing something , well, simple. Any ideas?

Try loading into the viewer and click on the Motion Tab and change “distort” setting to “0.”

Thanks David. It already is set at 0. That’s the part that’s a weird to me.

Full Raster HD Pixel Aspect Ratio is square. SD video is D1 (non-square). Could that be what you are seeing?

Can you change it in clip properties?

I believe that is the problem. I need to start the entire process again and make sure everything is set properly at the start. I realized once I opened it in Combustion. Thanks for the help.
