    Hi everyone!

    Ok..so I have this stupid problem I can’t solve:

I have a 2K footage (2048X1152) that I am zooming in in size using FC Pro scale features. And I set up the frame size at 2048X1152@30fps.

The problem is that because my footage is zooming in….FC understands that my frame is also zooming in, I obviously don’t want the screen in different sizes and moving….so I tried setting up the frame on different sizes: The only one that doesn’t zoom is 720X480 (zooms in footage with the 2 black bars up and down), but I want a big frame because this is HD footage!
I also want to see the 2 black bars up and down and don’t know how to set that up.
Can someone help me? need to be done with this today..
    Thank you!
    Esther.

Not sure you are asking or what you are doing here.

If you zoom in (scale 101+%) in the motion tab, FCP will never change the size of the frame (resolution of the sequence) it will change the framing of the image, you will see less of it in canvas.

But if you are wanting HD why are you not using 1920×1080 and 30fps should be 29.97.

Do you mean a border? You need to apply the border as a separate layer. I would make one up in Photoshop and drop that on top of the shot you’re blowing up.
