How can I ensure that what I’m seeing in a render onscreen within C4D is what will be rendered when I save a rendered file?

Everytime I choose a particular size and dpi, the view sometimes shifts slightly, but I see the entire scene in my window, in wireframe.

However, once the render is done, sometimes it gets cut off as if I had zoomed in or something. Not in the program, just in the file that is being rendered and saved.

I’ve tried “Frame Scene” and then rendering, but the sides get cut off?

Make sure you setup proper cameras in your scene and make the viewport show the safe area (not only for TV work). Unless you do so, what you see in the viewport will never be fully identical to your rendered output. Also use the render view when doing test renders to verify, do not render in the viewport directly.

Thanks…. I just checked under the Configure Viewport and I have “Show safe frames” selected, but that’s the only option I can find that remotely relates.

    I’m using C4d V 8.5

What you said makes total sense, now I just need to find where to show safe zones!

One of the safe frames is render safe. This will exactly show what part of the viewport will be rendered in the pictureviewer on final rendering.
    Cheers
