  • Frame rate (timing) for interval recording

    Hello HVX Forum,
I am teaching myself how to use my HVX-200 (thanks to Barry Green’s book and DVDs, otherwise I would barely know what the camera can do).

I would like to do some interval recording, like a flower opening/closing or a “high-speed” sunrise, etc. I have discovered that one frame every 5 minutes is “too fast.” Any suggestions on appropriate frame rate(s) for this kind of effect? Since the HVX has an interval function (unlike my HV20) I would like to experiment. I am recording to the P2 card, 720/60p. Next I plan to attack the 24P world, with 1/48th sec shutter, etc.

    Thanks for a great forum,

    eric
