I am using AAE 6.5. When I import a sequence of rendered images(.targa) from maya that have been rendered in real time at 24fps, AAE always changes the frame rate somehow and my animation goes significanlty faster than the original. When I create a new compisition I set it to 24fps to match the sequence, but that doesn’t help. And neither does changing the rate in the time control box. Is there a remedy for this ?

You probably need to change the way that AE is interpreting your footage.

Highlight your clip in the Project Window > command F (on Mac) > change the frame rate to 24.

    That should do the trick.
