Frame rate interpolation
I was wondering if there was a way to change the speed of playback with keyframes the same way you can edit motion. for example easy ease in and out. The best way would be to edit the playback speed on a graph with X being the speed (% of the original) and Y being time (in seconds or frames). All this would be used to have smooth transitions between slowMo and spedUp video.
Another thing I’ve wanted to be able to do, which is probably a little more advanced, would be to be able to pull frames of a clip to certain times on a timeline while having the speed of playback stretch or contract accordingly (and being able to make the peak or trough either smooth like a sine graph or sharp like an up to down zig zag). Imagine if the original clip was a piece of elastic with little marks for every 6 frames (24fps footage) and it was lieing on a table which had seconds marked on it. What I want to be able to do is pull the 4th marker (1 second of footage) too maybe 4 seconds on the table (timeline) then pull marker 46 (8 seconds of footage) 8 seconds on the timeline (back too 100% playback speed), then maybe pull marker 70 (9 seconds of footage) to 10 seconds on the timeling (playback to 50%) and so forth. I hope this makes sense.
Basically this would allow me to sync certain parts of the footage up to for example certain points in a soundtrack without having to manually play around with the playback speed to create this effect.
Are their any ways to do either of these things in AE or any program like RealViz ReTimer?
