    “Frame Rate Conflict Found”

The frame rate of the preset chosen to reset your new offline sequences to differs from items in your selection. The preset’s frame rate will be ignored, and the original frame rate of the items in your selection retained.

That is the warning message I get when I try to make a sequence for an Online.

Here is the specs: I am trying to capture (with Kona card) Apple PRO RES 23.98 psf from footage that was down convereted for an offline at DV res with a frame rate of 23.98.

I went ahead and captured the footage and hit the “ignore” button on FCP to capture it anyway. It turned out to be out of synch.

Weird thing was the editor came in with audio from the sequence from a 720p version of the timeline and we placed it below the Pro Res footage I captured, and then it syched up? Also, it looked the audio that drifted was just 5 frames out of synch.

Any Ideas? Could it be a P vs psf issue (we are capturing from a Sony J-H3) Could it be an audio issue 24 bit vs 16 bit??

    any thoughts??

    thanks!

5 frames drift over what length?

If it is .1% then I would suspect a 24 to 23.976 error to be the issue.

I work in 25fps so such nightmares are avoided.
