Every time i try to use the frame rate converter it refers back to a piece of footage i used Days ago. when i changed the name of that footage, now it just says can’t locate it (still not even the piece i have highlighted in the browser). i have tried reinstalling the converter from FCP disc and from panasonic website. anyone else this trouble? fixes?

Create a new project. Drag the clip you want to convert into this project. Convert it. See what happens.

Not heard of that one before – always choose make new clip or it keeps seeking the old file out.

If you are in 5.1 or later ONLY use the FRC on the install disc. it should be in the lower half of the tools menu.

Trash your FCP prefs and it should clear up.

thanks guys. i watched your tutorial Shane, and then followed all of your advice. it once again worked as before with the New project. that sure is a wierd bug.

It also took me a while to figure out what i was doing wrong trying to get the slow mo to actually look slow mo. I was setting my “Recording Setup” “Rec Format” from 720P/24P to 720P/60P (i don’t use PN because i have FS100 and it doesn’t do that) thinking that was setting the frame rate to the Slow mo mode after i converted it-it never looked slow mo. Wellllll, now it seems like i know how to set it, but still don’t really understand “WHY”. If i always want 24P why would i ever then choose the 720P/60P in the recording setup? Getting it to work is at least the most important right?

So, as i understand it, i can keep the 720P/24P “Rec Format”, But then change the “Frame Rate” in the “Scene File” to 60Frames. Then import and do the frame rate converter as described above-Right? It seems i should always select Delete Duplicate frames-Right?

thanks for any other info or clarrifications-i really appreciate what you have already provided.
