  • Frame Rate converter not working?

    Hello,
following up on Mr Adcock’s answers, Id like to know if Im the only one whose FRC seems to not be working. My predicament: I have hvx200 footage shot with an external hard drive recorder; the footage is 720P50, with duplicate frames; and while fcp 5.1 was able to see it was double the size it could be stripped of all the redundant frames, fcp 6 sees it as 25p, that is as if there were no redundant frames. And the AJA data rate tool confirms the file size is twice what it should be…

    geez don’t call me mister…..

couple of things — have you made any modifications to the clip ie: set an in and out pts during the import, working with a sub clip

what does the footage look like when you go thru it frame by frame? if it is truly 25p then every other frame would be duplicated. just open the file and go thru the file frame by frame with the arrow keys to see the duplicate frames.
