I’m not sure what the cause is, but lately when I digitize from my Beta SP (UVW 1800) with vis Timecode Burn-in through my Aja Iola, I see Timecode from two consectutive frames supperimposed on each other. I’m not sure if it’s due to a Quicktime Update, FCP Update or what. This never used to happen. It doesn’t happen on my Computer- only on my external Monitor.

I’m using FCP 5.1, QT 7.1 with Aja Iola 2.1 (This is what Aja recommended to use with my setup) and a G5 Dual 2G

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

Could you possibly be capturing with the fields in the wrong order? That would explain seeing two different TC numbers on the same frame. Each field is showing a different number. This will only show up on your external monitor. Is your Beta deck locked to the same reference as your IoLa?

I’m using a stock AJA Composite to DV Codec. The same as I’ve always used. Dumb question-How would I know if the fields are in the wrong order?

Yes- I have a BB Gen going to both
