I’m having an issue with audio frames dropping and not syncing with the video. I capture the footage in LP to extend the time not sure if its a problem. Wanted to know how to I sync my audio and video together in the editing timeline. My clip starts off in sync then somehow drops audio in and out and the clip is no longer in sync its either behind or in front of my video clip…Please advise

“I capture the footage in LP”.

What application is that? This is the Premiere forum. If you mean you are recording in Long Play mode, the only way – maybe – it to capture from the same camera it was recorded on, otherwise you will have problems with sync. LP is far more troublesome than SP, so in the future only tape in SP.

I’m using premier pro 1.5 and do you think I won’t be able to fix this problem?

You may if you follow my suggestion. If that does not work, retake appears your only option, based on what you indicated. You could try Sclive to capture, maybe that works better than PP.

Talking about Sclive, it also has a function called “Repair a damaged DV-AVI file”, under File > Tools. I’d give that a shot too, it has solved audio errors for me before.

I do not have SClive…do you have any other suggestions… I have captured into my system using the camera I recorded. Can i download SClive?

You can download it here: https://www.scenalyzer.com/main.html

It’s great for capture as well. I think the trial version only watermarks captured video, you should be able to use the repair tool without problems.
