i wasnt sure if i was allowed to post other sites here, so here are teh steps

    Animation of a Fractal Material

Create a New Solid in a New Composition.
Apply Effect > Render > Fractal Noise.
    Create the fractal line animation.
And, Apply Color the Material by “Glow”. (Blue)

of course if its ok to post other sites then i can forawrd on more info.

This sounds like an Ayato tutorial. If so, consider that English isn’t his first language (I don’t think there’s any such thing as a “fractal line”), so you should try to match the results he gets in the pictures.

Could you post a link, please?

The key is to set your Fractal Noise settings up like his, especially unchecking “Uniform Scaling” and setting Scale Height to 10000.

I just created the effect in AE 6.5

Send me a quick email johnny@ckandco.net and I can send you the project, it would be easier for you to just look at it, then try to translate ayato.

When rendering, I would render the Fractal Precomp layer seperately first, with an alpha, then under post-action, use the “import and replace usage”

    Cheers
