Hi guys. HVX was set and recorded video at 480i/24p. (Recorded to P2 card.) When I brought the footage into FCP, ii’s 29.97. I know I’ve gotten 23.98 into FCP at 720. Is this some kind of pull down mystery for 480 that I’m unaware of?

    Thanks!

Well, 480i is a 29.97 format. 24p will get you the film look, but remain at 29.97. 720p24 does 24p in a 60 frame format…UNLESS you choose 720p 24PN. Then it shoots 23.98…24p NATIVE. 1080i24p is also a 29.97 format.

You either need to shoot 24pA (haven’t shot DV with that camera to P2)…if it offers that option. Then you’d be able to REMOVE PULLDOWN when you import.
